Dear Lakeview Families,
This year has truly flown by! We are so grateful to have gotten to work with your children. Lakeview teachers aim to inspire our students to love learning and to grow as people. At the same time, your children inspire us to be our best. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
We are so proud of all that the students have accomplished this year. They have grown in so many ways. Each day, we see students willing to work hard and learn from their mistakes. We see the students thinking about numbers in a flexible way and working hard to problem-solve. We see students being critical readers, not just reading the words, but working to understand the deeper meaning of the text.
We bid farewell to our outgoing 6th graders. We celebrated them by having lunch together, distributing awards, hearing an inspirational speaker, and watching a video with their baby pictures and a picture from this year. The day ended with the entire school lining our hallways to give the students high fives as they made their last trip down the halls of Lakeview School. There were many tears shed as our emotional sixth graders said farewell to their elementary school. We will miss them, and we believe in them as they look toward their future goals.
Have a wonderful summer! We look forward to seeing you again in August and hearing about your family adventures!
