Conference Information

Dear Lakeview Families,

We are looking forward to seeing families during student led conferences this upcoming Thursday and Friday! Please remember to bring your child along to your conference, as he or she will play an important role in sharing information about his or her learning celebrations and goals.

When you visit Lakeview for conferences, the Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place in our gym. As we approach the upcoming long weekend, we wanted to encourage families to select some books to read with their children. Whether you pick something up at our Book Fair, check out something from the library, or select the book your child brought home from school together, reading together is a great way to promote a love of reading and share some quality time.

Looking for some book recommendations?

  • Mrs. Rosenblum recently read Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly-Hunt with her daughter and they loved it. It is a story about a young girl with dyslexia and how a special teacher and some unique friends help change her life.
  • Mrs. Weir loves reading Caps for Sale and A Sick Day for Amos McGee with her toddlers. She also just finished Mayday by Karen Harrington, which would be a great book to share with 4th-6th graders. It is about an 11 year old boy who survives a plane crash, but loses his voice.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Laura Rosenblum, Principal
Mrs. Betty Weir, Assistant Principal
