March 14th Letter from Mrs. Rosenblum

Dear Lakeview Families,

For the past five years, I have been a part of this amazing Lakeview community. When I arrived, I quickly learned that Lakeview School was a special place to be. I was given the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of children. I receive such joy from watching them grow and develop both academically and socially. I am also fortunate to be surrounded by such a dedicated and caring staff. They have risen to every initiative and challenge. I truly have relied on each and every one of them as we have built a strong educational foundation for your child.

Additionally, there are not enough kind words to express how much I have appreciated the time and talent of our school parents and grandparents. Your support through PTA, running a committee or volunteering in a classroom has enhanced the educational experience provided to each of the children in our school.

As a building administrator, I am aware that changes sometimes occur over the course of time that support our district mission. I will step aside as the building principal of Lakeview School at the conclusion of this school year, as I have been appointed the new principal at the Hoover Math and Science Academy in District 54.

Beth Erbach will be the new Lakeview principal for the 2018-19 school year. Beth is currently the principal at Dooley Elementary School and a colleague I have know for years. I am confident she will continue to move Lakeview forward and carry on with its outstanding student growth. I will work diligently with Beth to help her transition to Lakeview School as she becomes acclimated with our students, staff and community.

As I reflect on my time here at Lakeview, I have had the privilege of working collaboratively with an outstanding community of learners – students, parents and staff. We have dedicated ourselves to creating a culture that is child-centered, collaborative, data-driven and results-oriented while embracing our district’s mission statement of Ensuring Student Success. We have made Lakeview School the place to be. We could not have achieved this without all of us working together. I am so proud to have been a part of this success.

It has been a great honor to get to know so many wonderful students, families, and staff members over the course of the past five years and I will have many lasting memories as I move forward. I am confident that a part of Lakeview will always be in my heart. Lakeview is a phenomenal school and I know that it will continue to soar.

Sincerely,

Laura Rosenblum
