World Happiness Day Celebration
We celebrated World Happiness Day this past Wednesday with our students and many parents who stopped by to be a part of it. Our staff has spent time learning about the research behind positive psychology this year, and how a variety of habits can help nurture happiness and greater success. Two of those habits include expressing gratitude and doing conscious acts of kindness. The activities students participated in on Wednesday involved creating gratitude journals and developing ideas for conscious acts of kindness they could be doing in the coming weeks. It brought the staff so much joy to see students smile and take delight in this work. Consider asking your child about their gratitude journal at home, and encourage him or her to express something he or she is grateful for each day over our spring break!
