#everybodyin
Our motto this year is "Everybody In." Our motto was inspired by the Chicago Cubs, so we signed helmets to show our commitment to being all in. Teachers, students, and parents are all in at Lakeview!

Principal’s Message for October 19, 2018

Lakeview Lions,

Today we had an incredible day.  We all enjoyed our PBIS assembly where Mrs. Shaw’s and Mrs. Johnson’s room recived the award for Classroom of the Month.  Both these classrooms did an extra special job of following the 3B’s this past month.  We also earned a school-wide celebration.  At 2:00, the entire school went into the hallways and danced to different music.  We even witnessed a conga line in the 5th and 6th grade wing.  This truly was a fun day at Lakeview School.

Halloween

Lakeview’s Halloween celebration will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 31st.  Students must bring their costumes to school on that day.  Please make certain that students are able to change into their costumes by themselves within a reasonably short time.

We will have a costume parade that begins promptly at 1:00 p.m.  If weather permits, our parade will be outside.  In case of inclement weather, parents are invited to watch the parade in the gym at 1:00 p.m.

Halloween is a fun and special time of year for many children.  In order to ensure the safety and well-being of our children, please keep in mind the following considerations:

  • Costumes may not be worn to school
  • Children CAN come to school with hair and make up done
  • Weapons and ‘look alike’ weapons are prohibited
  • Refrain from costumes that depict violence (no fake blood or gore, please)
  • No excessive make up should be worn to school
  • Do not bring hair coloring sprays to school
  • Be certain your child can see through his/her mask

A Halloween party arranged by the PTA will take place following the parade in classrooms.  The party will run from 1:30-2:15.  Only PTA members who are assigned to support in classrooms will be allowed in the building during parties.

Dismissal for Wednesday will be at the regular time (2:30 p.m.).  Students will not be expected to change clothes prior to their departure.  We appreciate your support in following these guidelines so Halloween is enjoyable for all.
