Principal’s Message for November 13, 2018
The cold weather is here and feels like winter has arrived. Please encourage your child to wear the proper outerwear for this change in weather. We want all Lakeview students to be comfortable in this cold and wet weather walking back and forth to school and home. Appropriate outerwear will also allow students to enjoy recess with their friends.
Once again we are reaching out to our families and asking you to participate in the annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey to provide us with your perspective and help guide our school improvement efforts. The parent survey will be available online through Jan. 18, 2019, at https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois. In December we will also be administering the survey to all students in fourth through sixth grade, as these are the grades selected by the state. Please see the attached letter for more information about participation in the Survey within District 54.
The first trimester has ended. Everyone who has a parent portal account will be able to view his or her child’s report card online by November 21, 2018. All parents and guardians who have not previously created a portal account but have supplied District 54 with an email address should have received an email with a direct link to sign up for the portal. If you did not receive an email but would like to create a portal account, or if you are unable to access the parent portal and require a paper copy of your student’s report card, please contact our office.
