Happiness Advantage
The Lakeview Staff goes Orange as we celebrate our 21-Day Commitment to Happiness!
#everybodyin
Our motto this year is "Everybody In." Our motto was inspired by the Chicago Cubs, so we signed helmets to show our commitment to being all in. Teachers, students, and parents are all in at Lakeview!

Principal’s Message for December 14, 2018

Lions,

We hope everyone has been enjoying the break in the weather and the sun this past week!  It makes the fact that winter is quickly approaching a bit easier.  Speaking of winter, let us start the holiday season with a school wide spirit week.  We are excited to have this optional spirit week for staff and students to participate in.

Monday, December 17th – Candy Cane Day (red and white)

Tuesday, December 18th – Holiday Hat and Sock Day

Wednesday, December 19th – Snowman/Snowflake Day (blue)

Thursday, December 20th – Ugly Sweater Day

Friday, December 21st – Pajama Day

Winter is here

Is your child dressed for the winter weather?  Sometimes our students like to scoot out of the door in the morning without gloves, hats, and boots.  With snowy and cold weather coming, make sure your child has a warm coat, gloves, and hat on them when they leave for school.  All students will go out for some fresh air for recess when the temperature is above zero degrees with the wind chill.  Snow pants and boots are needed if your child wants to play in the snow.  Otherwise, students will play on the blacktop that is cleared of snow.  When the wind chill index reaches below zero degrees or when precipitation causes outdoor activities to be extremely uncomfortable, recess is held indoors.  Therefore, please remember to help your child dress for the winter weather.
