Principal’s Message for November 6th

Lions,

A big thank you goes to our PTA for hosting fabulous Halloween parties.  The winter weather did not stop us!  We still marched in our parade and enjoyed some games and laughter with our friends.  Halloween was one of Lakeview’s Peak Moment this year.

Lakeview’s Food Drive

In the spirit of giving, Lakeview is hosting its very own Food Drive to support our school’s food pantry!

While all non-perishable items are appreciated, the following items are in greatest need:

  • Cereal
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Pancake Mix
  • Maple Syrup
  • Canned Meats (tuna, chicken, salmon, spam)
  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce, etc.)
  • Cooking Oil (Olive, Canola)
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Canned Fruits
  • Applesauce
  • Granola Bars

Winter is here!

Is your child dressed for the weather?  Sometimes kids like to scoot out of the door in the morning without gloves, hats and boots.  With snowy and cold weather so quickly upon us, make sure your child has a warm coat, gloves and hat on them when they leave for school.  All students go out for recess when the temperature is above zero degrees with the wind chill.  Snow pants and boots are needed if your child wants to play in the snow.  Otherwise, students remain on the blacktop that is cleared of snow.  When the wind chill index reaches below zero degrees or when precipitation causes outdoor activities to be extremely uncomfortable, recess is held indoors.  So remember to help your child dress for the cold, winter weather.
