Principal’s Message for May 8th

We couldn’t be more proud of the Lakeview students.  To spread joy, we asked the students to write letters to the healthcare workers at Alexian Brothers Hospital.  The response was overwhelming.  The students dropped the letters in a box in front of Lakeview School.  Staff members delivered these letters to the hospital.  These letters were left on the healthcare workers’ cars and some letters were taped up on the entrances to the hospital.  Today is a proud day to be called a lion!

Fourth Grade Students and Parents – Band and Orchestra Enrollment Information

As many of you know, students traditionally enroll in the District 54 Instrumental Music Program in the spring of fourth grade and begin lessons in fifth grade. Due to our unique circumstances in the spring of 2020, instrumental music enrollment will be held once school resumes in the fall. In the meantime, we encourage fourth grade students and their parents to visit the District 54 website ( to view information about band and orchestra enrollment so that they are prepared to choose an instrument and join the fun!

Nutrition Nuggets

We have attached an article our nurse wanted to share.  It’s always good to have reminders on good nutrition.
