Arrival at Lakeview
8:20 AM- our doors open to students and staff is available for supervision. Please note that there will be no student supervision prior to 8:20, so please plan to arrive accordingly.
8:35 AM first morning bell.
8:40 AM second bell- instructional day begins.
Students arriving after 8:40 AM are tardy must report to the office with an adult to be signed in for the day.
In the morning, students will enter through the following doors and report directly to the hallway outside of their classroom…
DOOR 1, DOOR 5 or DOOR 7.
Staff is available to assist students in their classrooms. For safety reasons, only staff and students may enter the building and all visitors must check-in with the office.
If you are driving your child to school, please follow these “drop and go” procedures as listed below.
Dismissal at Lakeview
Our students will be dismissed at 3:00 PM , except for Wednesdays when they will be dismissed at 2:30 PM to allow our staff to take part in Professional Development. Students being picked up or walking home will exit the building from an assigned door: Kindergarten – Door 1
First Grade – Door 2
Second Grade – Door 2
Third Grade -Door 5
Fourth Grade–Door 5
Fifth Grade – Door 7
Sixth Grade – Door 7
All students riding a bus home will exit out Door 7.
Any student being picked up by a day care bus will report to the gym
Students attending STAR after school will report to the gym.
If you are picking up your child with a car, please find a legal parking spot and do not double park or pull in front of a neighbors driveway. once parked, meet your child at their dismissal door.
Drop and Go
We will continue to be using Drop and Go through our parking lot this year. The parking lot will open to parents at 8:25. Once you enter the parking lot, follow the signs to drop off your students in the unloading zone. Staff members will be there everyday to assist you. Parents will NOT get out of their cars and students need to exit the car on the right-hand side.
If you are dropping off your children by car in the morning, please do not pull in front of residents’ driveways and also do not drop them off on Washington . We want to ensure the safety of all students and be respectful to our Lakeview neighbors.
Lakeview Elementary
