Lakeview serves approximately 6oo students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Lakeview School:

• Is a “No Excuses University”
• Integrates within the curriculum the idea that every student has the opportunity to go to college
• Develops powerful symbolism to support “No Excuses University”
• Provides extended time and support for extensions and remediation opportunities for all students
• Has a diverse population of students
• Fosters a sense of community and belonging through a comprehensive school-wide social skills training program
• Provides a literacy-based educational program
• Has active partnerships with community organizations, including the Hoffman Estates Police Department, The Schaumburg Barn, Northern Illinois University and Roosevelt University
• Hosts parent information and family-fun evenings throughout the year
• Has a supportive Parent Teacher Association
• Has an active “Buddy” program for primary and intermediate students to develop community
• Provides a Rainbows program and leadership opportinities for students including student ambassadors, patrols, library helpers, and student office support
