Dear Lakeview Families,

We are thrilled and honored to be receiving the National Unified Champion School Banner. A Special Olympics Unified School has an inclusive school climate. Lakeview staff and students create a sense of collaboration, engagement and respect. Lakeview is only the second elementary school in the state of Illinois to be chosen as a National Unified School.

This Friday, December 1st, we will be receiving this honor. We have representatives from the State of Illinois, Special Olympics, District 54 Administrators, as well as our District 54 School Board joining in our celebration.
In preparation for the celebration, each grade level will be wearing a different color to represent the inclusive culture we have here at Lakeview. We encourage students to wear the color that corresponds with their grade level.

Kindergarten – Green
1st Grade – Yellow or Blue
2nd Grade – Purple
3rd and 4th Grade – Tie – Dye
5th Grade – Orange
6th Grade – Red

This will be an exciting day for all of our students!
If you have any questions, please call the office!
Kindly,
Mrs. Pietryla and Mrs. Macnider
